C-Worthy™ Shock Mounts provide protection for sensitive
equipment in military, maritime, transportation and other applications
requiring shock and vibration isolation. One application for C-Worthy™
Shock Mounts is navy use which allows for the use of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment that helps reduce program life cycle costs. C-Worthy™ Mounts have been proof tested to elements of MIL-M-17185, MIL-S-901D and MIL-STD-167-1. Capacities are application specific but can range from 5–700 lbs. Limited application engineering is available to correctly size your mounts free of charge. We offer this service to ensure each selection performs consistent with company objectives.
We do:
- Three-axis response analysis to a catalog of Floating Shock Platform (FSP) test data.
- Utilize multiple fundamental modes (including rocking modes) in a modal transient analysis.
- Damping (small and large displacements) loss models are evolved.
C-Worthy™ Program utilizes a thick-section mount for all load ranges. Thick section mounts have superior characteristics including higher damping factor, better balance between tensile and compressive deflection regimes, and relaxation of tolerance on cabinet weight. Load matching is accomplished by slotting the mounts. Adjusting slot pattern also allows independent adjustment of lateral and vertical stiffness. Benefits include greater ability to make mounts’ global (3-axis) center of effort coincident with cabinet CG and greater ability to accommodate customer needs with respect to attachment points and mount orientation.
