NNI Field Operations offers the experience and ability to staff and support major mechanical
and structural projects at nuclear, fossil and hydroelectric power plants, oil
refineries, shipyards and various other commercial facilities. Specialties
include welding, machining, pipe fitting, piping and equipment installation,
structural steel erection, and lifting/handling (rigging) services. NNI can provide skilled trades of varied disciplines from a database of over 5000 personnel. These tradesmen undergo comprehensive background investigations, fitness for duty and performance qualification testing. NNI has staffed numerous projects including primary containment erection, large piping replacement and new installations, and field fabrication of large pressure vessels. Welding CapabilitiesNNI is unique in that it maintains the capability to provide welding services for both military and commercial customers. We have welding procedures qualified to NAVSEA Technical Publication 248 for ship structure and piping/machinery/pressure vessels. Our procedure base also includes numerous procedures qualified to ASME IX for commercial applications. NNI maintains expertise in the following welding processes:

Mobile Machine Shop Capabilities
Piping & Equipment InstallationNNI has proven experience in major piping and equipment installation projects. Our pipe fitters are well trained in the use of portable pipe cutting/beveling equipment, plus our fitters and welders make every weld joint to X-Ray quality standards. From pipe detailing to final hydro, NNI can install/replace your piping systems efficiently. StructuresNNI's experience in erection of heavy structures (e.g. reactor primary containment liner, heavy duty pipe racks, work platforms) adds to our versatility in commercial construction. Our knowledge of the AWS Structure Welding Code (AWS D1.1) allows us to fit, weld and NDE a wide variety of structures with competency and to the highest quality standards. NNI welders are qualified for flux core and gas metal arc welding of carbon and low alloy steels, in lieu of depending on conventional, low efficiency SMAW "Stick" welding. Lifting & HandlingNNI takes pride in our lifting and handling record which relates directly to the rigging expertise we maintain. With riggers holding qualifications for unlimited load configurations and rigging engineers who can develop safe, detailed rigging plans for the most complicated lifts, NNI stands out in this most crucial area of construction. |

has five mobile machine shops fully equipped with tools, safety equipment,
lathes, milling machines, and pipe cutting/beveling equipment. Our
reconfigurable Mobile Machining Shops can be delivered quickly to your site. NNI
also has rapid response crews specially trained to perform on-site repairs
and modifications
in emergency situations. Our mobile machine shops provide a back up to permanent site
machining capabilities.
