NYLOK®Self-Locking Fasteners |

Newport News Industrial (NNI) is a qualified supplier of Nylok® self-locking fasteners. The self-locking feature is created by permanently embedding Nylok® blue nylon pellets in the threads of a fastener. When mating threads are engaged, the tough self-locking element is compressed and a counterforce is created to establish a much stronger contact and positive resistance to vibration and loosening. Nylok® self-locking elements can be installed by NNI in Type "N" male fasteners in accordance with MIL-DTL-1824-F(1) from as small as #4 up to and including 1" in diameter. A Nylok® self-locking element can be applied to your fastener, or ready-to-install self-locking fastener can be supplied to your specification.
